The Princess Juliana International Airport will be closed with effect from 12:00PM today.
SIMPSON BAY, St. Maarten (Monday, October 13, 2014) - The Princess Juliana International Airport will be closed with effect from 12:00PM today as a precautionary measure resulting from Tropical Storm Gonzalo which has caused weather conditions to deteriorate.
SXM Airport expects to be able to resume normal operations tomorrow morning.Passengers who were booked to travel today are advised to contact their respective airlines for further information on flight plans.
While regretting any inconveniences caused, it must be stressed that the safety of the passengers, aircrafts, the airport community in general and all other stakeholders is paramount in the operations of SXM Airport.
