Love fills the Air at SXM Airport on Valentine's Day
SIMPSON BAY, St. Maarten (February 13, 2013) - Music, give-aways, and an atmosphere filled with love are expected to turn SXM Airport into a romantic experience that will move you on Valentine's Day.
Starting at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 14, passengers and the entire airport community will be serenaded by virtuoso saxophonist, Connis Vanterpool at the Departure Hall, while the pianist from Sopranos Piano Bar will take to the stage at the Arrival Hall to treat passengers and others to love ballads.
SXM Airport Firefighters will don Valentine apparel to distribute chocolate and roses to passengers in both the Departure and Arrival Halls.
Concessionaires will also be joining in the Valentine’s Day promotion by giving away various items to passengers. For example, Penha Perfumes will be giving away Valentine baskets, while L'Occitane, Capri, and AMA Jewelers will also offer special give-aways.
Air Sunshine will be giving away a ticket for two for the destinations it services, and Sopranos will be offering four dinners to lucky passengers.
In addition, there will be a Valentine Booth where candy, flowers and teddy bears will be on sale.
"Valentine's Day is celebrated all over the world and we want to make sure that all the users of SXM Airport feel the love on this special day," said Kalifa Hickinson, Manager of Marketing & Communications at SXM Airport.
